Gnosis from Golgotha
Updated: Jun 19, 2018
Greetings Dear Readership,
Midsummer is nearly upon us, and with it comes an opportunity to wander through the lush golden fields, shaded hollows, and strange woodlands of introspection. It is also a time for us to share with you an update on happenings here at Anathema, and what the summer months will help bring to fruition.
Firstly, we are happy to announce that Craig Williams’ next work, Cult of Golgotha: Liber 16, is currently in pre-production and will tentatively be printed and ready to ship by the end of the season.
Golgotha will be Craig’s second book with Anathema, and the follow-up to 2017’s Entering the Desert. It promises to be a rewarding, heady, and complex journey through the author’s unique and deeply nuanced gnostic approach.
“Cult of Golgotha: Liber 16 is a quantum revelation of the ongoing research within the private inner Cells of the Desert gnostics. Continuing upon the esoteric work published in Entering the Desert, the Cult of Golgotha reveals a glimpse of the potential of empowered occult creativity which manifests via the cross-pollination of Tantric Physics, Pagan Sacramental Gnosticism, and Esoteric Voudon.” says Williams.
Delving a little deeper into Golgotha, Williams explains "This work, in conjunction with Entering the Desert and the forthcoming Tantric Physics II: Sacred Body, Sacred Space, allows readers to glimpse into the quantum potential of integral expressions of esoteric engineering.”
Williams continues by saying “It is my hope that readers will be inspired by these trance-missions and use the revelations to stimulate their own unique manifestations of occult creativity!”
“The Cult of Golgotha will feature introductions by the legendary author Leilah Wendell, and Catholic Occultist Agostino Taumaturgo, and commentary by David Metcalfe."
We can’t wait to share this one with you all, so don’t forget to sign up to our mailing list and follow us on all the usual social media suspects for updates and pre-order details.
Next up, we’re happy to announce two exceedingly fine canvas prints by artist Jose Gabriel Alegria Sabogal. Those of you who have read (h)Aurorae by our very own G. McCaughry will no doubt already be familiar with Sabogal’s stunning accompanying artwork contained within. Demand has been high to give two pieces by Sabogal, “The Alchemical Fountain,” and “Abraxas Dominus Mundi,” the special treatment, and so both are now available to order through our website. Either print would make a worthy addition to your occult art collection.
Finally, an old friend returns in the form of our paperback reissue of Crafting the Arte of Tradition by Shani Oates. Having previously sold out, the newly-edited paperback edition is officially set to launch on Sunday, July 1st. And don’t let the notion of paperback fool you—this is still an impressive edition featuring a scuff-free velvet matte cover with UV selective gloss finish and Rolland Opaque Natural 140M quality paper.
Further details are as follows: 5.25 x 8.5 inches. 392 pages. German Binding. Thoroughly illustrated throughout by Lupe Vasconcelos, Fine typography. Approximate Currency conversion: $36 CAN / $28 USD / €24 / £21.
Well, that about does it for us this week. If you have any comments or questions for us, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Until next time, we hope that you may enjoy the warmer weather (any excuse to drink beer on a patio is fine with us, after all!) and continue to seek out a lantern in the darkness and the light of gnosis.
