Dear Anathema followers,

While the fulfillment of Jose's Kickstarter is still in full swing and in spite of our recent difficulties (many of you have generously donated to help ease the financial burden, which is greatly appreciated), we have made the decision to reverse an earlier choice and modify our perspective to better meet a particular need.

And so, without further ado, we're happy to announce that we've launched a brand new line of 'ephemeral apparel' by Anathema Publishing, as complimentary miscellany to our regular offer (the main focus of which — do not fret — will always remain on printed media and literature)!

This line of apparel — already available to peruse and purchase on the website — for the time being, is relatively small, but is bound to slowly grow over time.

For years, many of our long-time readers and supporters have been eagerly requesting merchandise to showcase their love for our Work, choice of aesthetic, and the wonderful artists we associate with. And so, we are thrilled to finally deliver! We've been diligently working behind the scene, waiting for the perfect moment when the reproduction technology could meet our exacting standards. Now seems like the ripe time to offer apparel that combines both style and durability — with a certain vision in mind as to how we'll approach this new line going forward, which we'll break down in three simple categories:

1. Simpler Designs featuring the Official Anathema Logos & Related Visuals;

2. Designs featuring 'home-made' illustrations and montages harking back to the days of our periodical, PILLARS;

3. And last but not least, ephemeral designs of exclusively licensed or commissioned artworks, presented as official collaboration between Anathema and a handful of artists. Collaborations which are meant to further support underground artists of the esoteric milieu and helping in shedding more light to their work while providing incredible-looking merchandise to customers. (These designs will essentially be offered as limited editions, offered for a certain amount of time only before they are altogether removed from the store.)

*Most designs, for the time being, will be each offered as Unisex Classic Tees, Unisex Hoodies, and Women's short sleeve t-shirts. Also note that within each product’s pages, several color options are available for each design.

We're launching this new venture first with two variants of the 'Anathema Publishing Seal of Excellence' design, as well as our very first collaboration with artist Shandi Azk Bouscatier, with the stunning illustrations:

• "The Many 'I' of the Draconic Eye"

• "Effluxes of the Dark M'Other"

Shandi Azk Bouscatier is a Witch Artist and co-authored and illustrated The Serpent Ikons: A Sorcerous Distortion of the Tarot de Marseille Major Arcana [2022] for Anathema. He is a jeweler and visual artist, with his artistic practice being informed solely around the witchcraft and alchemy he also practices. Effigies, tools of power, icons, and other occult objects are all a part of his creation – directed by the Spirits and crafted by his hands. His process is intimate; it is a relationship between living and inhabited matter, the Beings of Otherness and his own vision.

N.B.: We strongly advise clients to order these apparel products separately and not combine them with other items like books, jewelry, or music albums, as they do not ship from the same warehouse as our other available items.
